Students who have studied science, technology, engineering and mathematics subjects and who are seeking to become engineering practitioners employed in the civil engineering and allied sectors are set to be in great demand. As a graduate you could work for consultants, contractors, local authorities or government agencies and contribute to the design, construction and maintenance of a variety of infrastructure projects. You could also specialise in areas such as structures, transportation, water supply and treatment, power generation and supply.
