Guildhall School of Music and Drama Admission

Guildhall School Of Music And Drama Entry Requirements

The Guildhall School of Music and Drama admits students through a highly competitive audition process. The School holds music auditions in London, New York, Hong Kong, Seoul, Taipei, and Tokyo, and drama auditions will be held in cities across the UK beginning in 2021 (including London, Belfast, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Newcastle, Leeds, and Nottingham), as well as international auditions in New York.

Admission to the Production Arts course is by interview at the school's Milton Court building in London or at the annual conference of the United States Institute of Theatre Technology, where prospective students can meet and participate in activities that mimic the instruction provided on the course. The Acting course had 2,610 applications in the academic year 2018–19, but only 1% of those who applied received offers, making it one of the institutions with the lowest acceptance rates in the United Kingdom. Unlike other UK conservatoires, Guildhall has its own application process, and candidates submit their applications directly to the institution rather than through UCAS Conservatoires.
