Learning materials

Contact hours
Full-time students will typically receive 8 contact hours per week, and will need to devote at least 30 hours a week to study.
Assessments and examinations
The programme features a variety of assessments including coursework and examinations.
Coursework is in the form of essays, reports or case studies, while group or individual presentations may be required to assess other competencies.
Examinations will be with written elements or multiple-choice questions and maybe unseen or part-seen, where assessment material is released in advance.
BPP University offers flexibility in how these assessments are undertaken, and the programmes will utilise online tools where available to deliver assessments. On occasion, some assessments may require attendance at a physical location.

The Professional Development Planning (PDP) programme runs alongside the 18-month MSc Management with Project Management to enhance employability in future leadership professionals.

It is structured around workshops, coaching sessions and additional learning that will help to establish a professional career, with access to work placement opportunities. You will develop crucial employability skills and benefit from the following:

Preparation for post-study work visa opportunities
Access to skills days, masterclasses and speaker events
Mentoring and careers advice towards securing employment, including intensive preparation for interview opportunities if you meet the criteria
Opportunities for voluntary work, placements and internships*
As part of the programme, our Professional & Academic Skills for Success (PASS) module includes career profiling and a skills assessment. This non-credit bearing module will help you adjust to University study, while helping us to provide the right support during the course from the beginning.

You will benefit from a structured approach to professional development, enabling you to gain the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to sustain a career in your chosen field.

*Please note, if you fall behind with your studies and cannot progress on your Master’s programme, you will not be eligible for the placement interview process. The Placements team works with an extensive range of employers to find work placement opportunities for our students. Placements may vary in length and may be paid or unpaid.

A minimum 2:2 Honours degree from a UK or recognised international university or equivalent such as the CMI, ILM, CIM, CIMA at Level 6 or above. If you do not meet the entry requirements, but have other qualifications or work experience, get in touch so we can review your options.

English entry requirements for international students
To study at BPP, it is important that you are able to communicate and engage in English effectively in an academic setting.

If English is not your first language, you will be required to provide proof of your ability – for reading, writing, listening and speaking in English.

If you meet the other required entry criteria for your course but do not have the necessary English language skills, you may qualify for a Pre-Sessional English course prior to starting your programme.

A deposit of £250 will need to be paid within 48 hours of accepting your offer, in order to secure your place.

In addition to your programme fees, there may be additional charges associated with your studies, which include:

A postgraduate student loan of up to £11,570. is available to eligible Master's courses.
