About
The founders of the university, Alan Brierley, Richard Price, and Charles Prior, founded Brierley Price Prior (BPP) in 1975 to train students in accounting. BPP was granted the authority to give out degrees in 2007 and in 2020 the period was extended indefinitely. BPP University was founded in 1992. It is a private institution which was previously known as the BPP College of Professional Studies. When it was given university status, it was renamed BPP University on August 8, 2013. BPP Holdings Limited manages and operates the university. In the most recent Graduate Outcomes survey, BPP University ranks first among the Russell Group of 24 leading universities for the number of postgraduate students in the UK who got employed in highly skilled occupations. In December 2019, BPP Law School partnered and was appointed as the City Consortium's provider of Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) training.
Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds, Cambridge, London, Manchester, and Abingdon are all study centres for the university. It has 16,000 students in total. The university provides undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes, and it also offers non-degree programmes such as pathways programmes. BPP University's acceptance rate is 45% and students have the opportunity to work as interns alongside professionals while studying at the university.
