Bournemouth University

The Queen's Anniversary Prize for Higher and Further Education was given to the university in 2011 for "world-class computer animation instruction with broad scientific and creative applications." The Prime Minister commended the university's curricula in Parliament in 2014. In the 2015 - 2016 academic year, BU made its first appearance in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings, where it was ranked 401 - 500 globally and 57th among UK universities. In 2016, the university moved up a few spots in the national rankings, moving from 88th to joint-82nd in the Sunday Times Good University Guide, from 65th to 54th in The Complete University Guide, and from 71st to 63rd in The Guardian University League Table. According to the course rankings, BU is a well-known higher education organisation in the UK. From 2017 through 2021, The Complete University Guide ranked Bournemouth in the top 100 universities in the UK for its accounting, finance, and business programmes. Bournemouth was ranked lower than the top 100 universities in the UK by The Guardian, a well-known UK rating source, in both its accounting and finance and business, management, and marketing categories. From 2019 to 2021, Bournemouth was ranked between positions 501 and 600 in Times Higher Education's (THE) PG Computers rating.
