This programme consists of 60 credits. The courses includes:
Customer relations (10 Credits)
Develop professional customer service techniques that are culturally, socially, and ethically appropriate within a business entity.
Administration and Finance (10 Credits)
Apply administration procedures which accurately support everyday operational and financial tasks in a business environment. Financial content may include banking, petty cash, money handling, financial definitions, budgets, GST, discounts, recommended retail price and Kiwi Saver. Other information covered may include records management, storage systems and risk management.
Business Organisation (10 Credits)
Provide administration services and produce business documents in accordance with policy and legislation. Content may include time management strategies, customer service, frontline administrative tasks (scanning, binding, laminating, scribing and diaries), written communications (minutes, agendas, correspondence, compilation of reports, business cards, posters and brochures), working with procedures and policies (health and safety, induction and complaints), working in a team environment, and employer/employee rights and responsibilities.
Business Communication (10 Credits)
Learn to use business technologies to communicate effectively in a global business environment. Content may include mobile and digital technology, web based technology, appointment management, setting meetings, note taking and meeting communications, online forms/surveys, and correspondence.
Business Data Solutions (10 Credits)
Learn how to manipulate business data to solve business problems.
Operational Essentials (10 Credits)
Learn how to contribute to a business entities performance utilising a variety of digital devices.
