For this one-year qualification you need to complete eight courses from Year 1 and 2 of the Bachelor of Science.

Pre-Chiropractic pathway

This one-year diploma prepares you for the Bachelor of Chiropractic, taught through the New Zealand College of Chiropractic.
 

The Pre-Chiropractic pathway within the Diploma in Applied Science is an opportunity to meet the entry requirements of the New Zealand Chiropractic College. Completing the diploma doesn’t guarantee entry to the Bachelor of Chiropractic.

You also choose one elective from the Bachelor of Science list of elective courses.

Minimum entry requirements
 

• Completion of Year 12

  • NCEA: 48 level 2 credits including eight level 2 credits in any one subject from Biology, Chemistry, Earth and Space Science, Physics, Science

  • CIE: 60 points on the UCAS Tariff, including any one subject similar to the NCEA subjects listed above

• Pre-Chiropractic: Letter of Intention from the New Zealand College of Chiropractic.

• IELTS (Academic) 5.5 overall with all bands 5.0 or higher; or equivalent.

• $7,835 - $8,011 (for 120 points)
• ($6,901 - $7,077 tuition fees + $934 student services levy)

• ($34,600 tuition fees + $934 student services levy)
   

Standard diploma
 

Graduates with this broad foundation in science are prepared for careers in science and laboratory work in a variety of industries. You can also progress to a higher level science qualification.
 

Pre-chiropractic pathway
 

This pathway prepares you for entry into chiropractic college and becoming a registered chiropractor.
