Before paying programme fees, it is advised that students from China, Vietnam, the Indian Subcontinent, Turkey, and the Middle East apply for a "Pre-Visa Assessment" at an Immigration New Zealand office. After receiving "Approval in Principle" from Immigration New Zealand, you will need to present the university Receipt and Confirmation of Enrolment in order to get your student visa.
To apply for a student visa, send or deliver your passport, your Confirmation of Enrolment, Receipt, and any other necessary papers to the closest Immigration New Zealand office. The Online Visa Office at the AIS St Helens Campus accepts applications from international students who are already in New Zealand.
