Admission

Institute Of Technology Carlow Entry Requirements

Applicants who do not hold citizenship in an EU member state or who have not attended full-time undergraduate studies in Ireland should submit their applications online. Before submitting their application to the institution, students must satisfy the established qualifying conditions. The University's International Department will handle all Institute of Technology Carlow entry requirements and communication with the Central Application Office (CAO) of Ireland on the student's behalf. English Language Requirements

Students must demonstrate that they have met the requisite standard in English reading, writing, and communication. A minimum IELTS score of 5.5 to 6 or completion of similar education. Undergraduate Entry Requirements

  • Students must show that they have completed a secondary school diploma (high school diploma) or a similar level of study in their country of origin, with satisfactory grades in an acceptable language, mathematics, and at least four additional disciplines
  • Some programmes, such as our Child, Youth, and Family Studies, may also require reference letters

  • Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree in a relevant field
