Program Overview

This general engineering year gives students exposure to all the different types of engineering that are on offer and equips them with the fundamentals of engineering. It will help to make an informed choice of what field of engineering to enter based on aptitude and interest. On successful completion of Year 1, students will transfer into Year 2 of the programme of their choice, subject to space availability.

This programme offers students an introduction into a wide range of engineering disciplines. Our suite of Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Robotics & Automation all have common Year 1 modules, giving students a taste of each engineering discipline before having to commit to which area of engineering they wish to specialise in from Year 2.
