Program Overview

Logistics is the flow of goods, information, and money throughout an organization. It encompasses aspects of finance, marketing, and accounting, and gives a broad picture of company operations. You will learn about the efficiency and effectiveness of various transportation alternatives, warehousing and distribution, supply chain management, and performance and inventory measurement techniques. In addition, you will select the Air Transportation, Shipping and International Logistics, or Project Appraisal and Management options.
Options prepare you for careers with carriers, logistics functions in manufacturing and distribution firms, and government departments, and include training in transport economics and management, government investment, and regulatory programs affecting transportation and utilities, and business logistics. Courses emphasize current and applied problems and the use of computers in management and problem solving.

2 COMM 414 may be used to fulfill requirements toward a maximum of one of the following three options: Global Supply Chain and Logistics Management, Marketing, or Operations and Logistics. 3 As of 2021W, COMM 415 will no longer be offered.

Work Study

Students can work for 20 hours per week during the regular academic year and full-time during scheduled breaks.
If their program does not have scheduled breaks, the students will be limited to working 20 hours per week.
An immigration officer may apply conditions on the type of work students may perform.
For example, they must pass an immigration medical examination before they begin work in health care, child care, or primary or secondary education.

Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Graduation from high school
- Minimum of 70% in Grade 11 or Grade 12 English (or their equivalents)
- At least six academic/non-academic Grade 12 courses (recommended, but not required)
Indian student eligibility:

General admission requirements for Indian students are:
- Graduation from a university-preparatory program at a senior secondary school: Higher Secondary School Certificate awarded on completion of Standard XII. Certificates must be official. Photocopies are acceptable if certified by the school principal, head, or counselor. Notarized copies are not acceptable.
Degree-specific requirements: Science
- Math (Standard XII)
- Chemistry (Standard XII)
- Physics (Standard XII) (Physics may be waived with grades of A in Senior Math and Senior Chemistry)
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
