University of British Columbia Entry Requirements
Eligibility criteria to get into any higher education institution is a given. UBC also has a set of entry requirements to get into a programme of one’s choice at the university. - A recognised higher secondary school certification is required for undergraduate admissions and score requirements depend on the course one wishes to take. A minimum of 85% is required.
- The accepted English language proficiency tests are TOEFL, IELTS, CAEL (Canadian Academic English Language Assessment), Duolingo English Test (DET) and Pearson Test of English (PTE). Minimum scores for each include an overall band score of 6.5 (IELTS), an overall score of 90 (TOEFL), and an overall score of 65 (PTE).
Postgraduate Admissions
- An undergraduate degree from a recognised higher education institution is required for postgraduate admission to the university. Grade requirements depend on what course one wants to pursue at the postgraduate level but a minimum of 65% is required.
- English language proficiency test score requirements are standard across all courses and accepted tests are TOEFL, CAEL, IELTS, PTE and DET.
