For students who can prove they have a need for financial assistance, RMC also offers the Work Study programme, which provides on-campus employment at a rate of CA $12 per hour. Students are supervised by faculty or staff members while they are at work. SINs, or Social Identity Numbers, are necessary for international students to work on or off campus as well as for tax purposes in Canada. A social identity number is valid for up to five years or until the end of the stay.
