About
The Royal Military College(s) of Canada, sometimes known as RMC in English, is a military institution and has been a university that awards degrees to members of the Canadian Armed Forces since 1959. It was founded in 1874, and on June 1st, 1876, it held its first classes. The Royal Military College of Canada Degrees Act, 1959, granted RMC the authority to award degrees in the humanities, sciences, and engineering, making it the only government institution in Canada that now have this capability. Undergraduate and graduate programmes are provided on campus in conjunction with the Division of Continuing Studies of the college's distance learning programme.
It prepares officer cadets for all military branches. First-year cadets typically start their basic military occupational qualification training in the summer just before the start of classes. This training contains drills, first aid training, and field training. In September, they participate in an orientation programme that concludes with a strenuous, two-hour team-based obstacle course. The campus, which has limestone buildings and a sizable parade square that dates to 1876, is located on a 41-hectare peninsula on the beaches of Lake Ontario just east of downtown Kingston, Ontario.
RMC graduates have built a global reputation for performance and commitment. The graduates of RMC have excelled in every facet of Canadian military service, from the North West Campaign of 1885 through the South African War, the First and Second World Wars, Korea, and the Persian Gulf, to the most recent peacekeeping operations. A wide range of civilian professions has seen a significant presence of former cadets.
One of the top university towns in the nation is Kingston. There are many students there, and there is a strong sense of school pride, friendship, and competition among Queen's University, St. Lawrence College, and RMC. Kingston is a city with many historical sites. The streets are crowded with stores, eateries, and pubs just a short distance from the RMC campus. Alternatively, students might take the ferry to Wolfe Island for a tranquil and picturesque getaway.
Some popular programmes at RMC are:-
• Engineering: This well-liked programme which is offered in six fields: civil, chemical, electrical, mechanical, computer, and aeronautical.
• Space Science: Four of Canada's thirteen astronauts are graduates of RMC, and this physics programme covers space surveillance, remote sensing, and space mission planning.
• Military and Strategic Studies: Students investigate historical, cultural, political, military, and psychological aspects of current and historical events involving people.

Finances
Most international students are obligated to show proof of sufficient funds in order to obtain a visa. While some students may have the opportunity to make use of scholarships, not all students cut the eligibility to get a scholarship or a grant. Moreover, not all scholarships cover 100% of your study abroad expenses. At such times, most students resort to acquiring education loans to avoid the financial hassles associated with studying at the university. For Indian students, UniCreds is the ideal education loan marketplace if you’re looking for low-interest rates and free consultation services!

Cost of Living
Kingston has an excellent student atmosphere. While campuses throughout the city are continuously buzzing with student-led groups, sports, initiatives, and festivals, Princess Street, the main thoroughfare through downtown, is peppered with pubs, cafés, restaurants, and shops that are affordable for students. The town itself is full of attractions. It has a very European feel to it, at least in comparison to many other North American cities, with its historic limestone homes, lively downtown, and abundance of coffee and tea shops for students scrambling to escape (or catch up on) homework. You can easily walk everywhere you need to go in the city and in particular around the school, and the public transportation system is relatively convenient and comprehensive. Where you reside and how much you pay will probably depend on how much you can tolerate broken plumbing and how much you want convenience.
