Rule A Core Units

Complete the following units:

  • Introductory Accounting (AFM406) – 6 credit points

  • Entrepreneurship (AFM524) – 6 credit points

  • Managerial Finance (AFM531) – 6 credit points

  • Security Analysis and Portfolio Management (AFM532) – 6 credit points

  • International Business (BUS502) – 6 credit points

  • Economics for Management (ECON406) – 6 credit points

  • International Trade and Finance (ECON417) – 6 credit points

  • International Political Economy (ECON520) – 6 credit points

  • Strategic Planning and Sustainability (MM403) – 6 credit points

  • Advanced Organisational Behaviour (MM405) – 6 credit points

  • Project Management (MM530) – 6 credit points

  • Quantitative Techniques for Management (QM461) – 6 credit points

A candidate shall:

  • hold an AQF Level 7 Bachelor qualification or above in a non-relevant discipline; or

  • hold an AQF Level 7 Bachelor qualification in a relevant discipline*; or

  • hold an AQF Level 8 Graduate Certificate in a relevant discipline*;or

  • be an international student and hold an AQF Level 7 Bachelor qualification in a relevant or non-relevant discipline* and be studying on a full-time basis at the UNE Sydney campus;or

  • hold an AQF Level 8 Graduate Diploma qualification or above in a relevant discipline; or

  • hold an AQF Level 8 equivalent Graduate Diploma in Agribusiness completed at the Ironwood Institute.

 

*Relevant disciplines include but are not limited to:

  • Accounting

  • Agribusiness

  • Business

  • Economics

  • Finance

  • Management

 

English Language Requirements


All applicants must meet a minimum of one of the following criteria:

  • English is the applicant's first language; or

  • Satisfactory completion, within five years of the date of application for admission to UNE, of at least one year of full-time or equivalent full-time study at senior secondary, post-secondary or tertiary level in a country in which English is the primary official language or co-official language and in which English was the sole medium of instruction and assessment for the particular period of study claimed; or

  • A pass grade or better in an English language subject at Australian Year 12 level or overseas equivalent; or

  • An International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic overall score of at least 6.0 with no sub-band less than 5.5*; or

  • Equivalent Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of at least 213 in the computer-based test or at least 79 in the internet-based test with no less than 22 in the written component*; or

  • A Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic minimum overall score of 57 with no skill less than 50*
