About

Murdoch University, founded in 1973, is a public research-intensive university located in Perth. It first opened its doors in 1975, with 510 enrollments in a variety of undergraduate programmes. The institute is affiliated with Innovative Research Universities (IRU), Open Universities Australia (OUA), and Universities Australia. Its main campus is in Perth, but it additionally operates satellite campuses in Dubai and Singapore. The university holds classes on three different campuses in Australia: South Street Campus, Peel Campus, and Rockingham Campus. 

 

The 560-acre campus houses academic buildings for humanities, social sciences, education, economics, and commerce, as well as a semi-enclosed peace pavilion called Joglo Rahayu, Bush Court, Chancellery Building, and Bower Court. Its southern region is made up of cattle stockyards, farms, and renewable energy centres. It also houses the Nexus Theatre, which is used for events, workshops, and performances. The Asia Research Centre, founded in 1991, conducts cutting-edge research in politics, governance, political economy, social reform, and policy formulation. The university has academic collaborations with more than 50 universities, allowing for student exchange programmes for enhanced learning. Reportedly, the university has approximately 23,000 students from more than 90 countries.
