Master of Nursing (Coursework and Research)

Throughout the program, you will be introduced to the drivers for research within industry and the broader community, learn to identify and apply appropriate research paradigms and methods, and develop sound project management skills. Core topics cover areas such as approaches to research designs, introduction to research, developing a literature review, and writing research proposals for ethical and funding requirements. You will also select a number of option topics and undertake a research project/thesis.

Applicants must normally hold an approved bachelor degree or equivalent qualification and must be registered nurses.
 

Please note - this course includes a research project that is negotiated after admission to the course. The research project is subject to approval and the University's ability to provide suitable research supervision to students based on their proposed research topic.
 

International students must satisfy our English language proficiency requirements for admission. If your first language is not English you will need to have:
 

• Achieved the required test score for the course you are applying for. The IELTS and equivalent scores to meet the various levels #. IELTS, TOEFL, PTE and Cambridge tests must be taken in a registered testing centre.; or
• Successfully completed an approved secondary or tertiary qualification, taught in the English language in a country where English is the official language or the main language spoken (for up to an overall IELTS of 6.5) with evidence no more than five years old on the proposed date of commencement of the course; or
• Successfully completed a pre-course English program from an approved ELICOS Provider*.
