Graduate Certificate in Science (Water Resources Management)

The program enables you to pursue study in water resource management in depth or to gain a more generalised understanding of a wide range of water resources management subjects. We train you to apply management fundamentals to solve current problems and to anticipate, mitigate and prevent future problems in the area of water resources management. Masters students have the opportunity to undertake a major research project or a minor research project combined with an industry placement. Topics cover areas such as fundamentals of groundwater, ecohydrology, public health aspects of water quality, geographical information systems, and project management.

Applicants must normally hold an approved degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline of science and engineering such as agricultural science, biology, chemistry, earth sciences, mathematics, physics, and engineering disciplines such as civil and/or environmental engineering, from an approved tertiary institution.

English language requirements

Successfully completed an approved secondary or tertiary qualification, taught in the English language in a country where English is the official language or the main language spoken (for up to an overall IELTS of 6.0) with evidence no more than five years old on the proposed date of commencement of the course.
