  • The student must have completed high school. If they were unable to complete high school, they can take the Alternative Learning System (ALS) and pass the Philippine Educational Placement Test (PEPT) to qualify for college; the availability of courses for PEPT passers is determined by the institution.
  • Students must pass the university's College Admissions Test.

To become a Registered Psychometrician in the Philippines, a BS in Psychology graduate must pass the Psychometrician Licensure Exam. The examination is administered by the Board of Psychology, which is overseen by the Professional Regulations Commission (PRC).

The CHED, known as the Commission on Higher Education in the Philippines has established projects and programmes under the Student Financial Assistant Programmes (StuFAPs) to provide poor and deserving Filipino students opportunity to quality higher education. The Republic of Philippines’ Department of Science and Technology (DOST) provides undergraduate and graduate psychology scholarships to study in the Philippines to students pursuing degree studies. These scholarships aim to stimulate talented Filipino youth as well as international students to pursue lifetime productive careers in Science & Technology and ensure a steady, adequate supply of qualified S&T human resources.

The scholarship benefits include contributing towards school and tuition fees of ₱40,000 per year. That aside, there are also book allowances, Health Insurance Premium allowances, Transportation allowances, Monthly Living allowances, and more subject to change as per semesters and university guidelines.

Megaworld Scholarships

Megaworld Foundation offers full scholarships covering full tuition fees and providing certain allowances per year, as well as offering career opportunities at the Megaworld Corporation and/or its subsidiaries. Undergraduate students who could be incoming freshmen, sophomores, and juniors whose income tax returns do not exceed ₱30,000 can apply to these Psychology scholarships to study in the Philippines.
