About

Wright State University is located In Fairborn, Ohio, it is a popular public research institution. It was named in honour of aviation pioneers Orville and Wilbur Wright, who were Dayton locals. It was initially established in 1964 as a branch campus of Miami University and Ohio State University. In 1967, it turned into an independent university. The institution is categorised as an "R2: Doctorate Universities - High Research Activity" and grants bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees. The Horizon League's Wright State Raiders athletic teams play in the NCAA Division I. In addition to its main campus, Wright State University also runs the Lake Campus, a satellite campus close to Celina, Ohio. 

 

The university offers 295 doctoral, graduate, undergraduate, and professional degree programs in a wide range of fields, including accounting, engineering, physical education, agriculture, art, anthropology, business, computer science, languages, social science, nursing, media, pharmacy, and psychology. Over 15,000 students attend the university, which employs 879 full- and part-time faculty members. Additionally, overseas students from 65 different countries make up 5.3% of the student body. Facilities

When it comes to Wright State University facilities, the 557-acre campus is a thing of beauty and contains a biology preserve in addition to verdant trees. The university's cutting-edge facilities include a world-class entertainment and sporting venue, 33 student residences, and 32 academic and academic support buildings. Student Success Center

The 67,000-square foot, $17 million Student Success Center opened its doors in the fall of 2015 with the goals of assisting students with their academics and inspiring them to reach their full potential. Creative Arts Center

A $22 million refurbishment of the Creative Arts Center is now taking place. The building has classrooms and faculty rooms as well as two concert halls and two theatres that can be used for plays and dance productions as well as concerts by the orchestra, chorus, and various musical ensembles.

 

Tom Hanks Center for Motion Pictures

Neuroscience Engineering Collaboration Building

The Paul Laurence Dunbar Library, the Student Technology Assistance Center (STAC), the Lake Campus Learning Center, and Special Collections and Archives are all part of the University Libraries. The Wright Brothers Collection is kept in Special Collections and Archives and consists of family papers, thousands of pictures, and the technical and personal libraries of Wilbur and Orville Wright, who invented the aeroplane.
