The University of Wisconsin, La Crosse (UWL or UW-La Crosse) is a public university that was founded in 1909 and is a member of the University of Wisconsin System. It grants degrees in Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctorate studies. The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (Division III of the NCAA) is home to the UW-La Crosse Eagles' 21 sporting teams and “Stryker” the Eagle is the school’s mascot.

 

The College of Business Administration has received international accreditation, and the UW System has designated the fields of microbiology and exercise and sport science as Centers of Excellence. Moreover, the university provides one of only two Midwest undergraduate archaeology majors, the sole nuclear medicine technology programme in the UW System, and the only nationally accredited degrees in recreation management and therapeutic recreation in Wisconsin.

Facilities
