The University of West Georgia (UWG) is a public university located in Carrollton, Georgia, United States. It was founded in 1906 as an agricultural and mechanical school but has since grown into a comprehensive university offering a wide range of undergraduate and graduate degree programmes. Facilities
The campus provides a variety of activities and organisations for students to socialise with one another. It features around 150 student organisations in several categories such as Student Conduct Board, Health Education, University Recreation, and so on. It also has 24 fraternities and sororities from which students can choose and participate in events such as Greek Week. The Campus Centre at the University also accommodates a range of events such as conferences and proms.
Residential facilities - All first-year college students are required to live on campus for two semesters (Fall/Spring or Spring/Fall) and participate in a freshman eating plan for both semesters. Individuals who are 21 years old on the first day of school in the Fall semester and have already completed two semesters at another university, on the other hand, may be eligible for a Residence Requirement Waiver. They can choose off-campus student housing in the United States. Some of the residence halls are - Bowdon Hall, Strozier Complex, Centre Pointe Suites, The Oaks and University Suites.
Library - The Ingram Library is the main library of the university. It serves as the primary information resource for students, faculty, and staff at the university, as well as for the broader community.
