The University of West Florida (UWF) is a public university located in Pensacola, Florida, United States. It was founded in 1963 and is a member of the State University System of Florida. It offers undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral degree programmes in a variety of fields, including business, engineering, education, health sciences, humanities, and social sciences. There are in all more than 55 undergraduate, 32 master’s, 1 specialist, and 3 doctoral programmes. Facilities

The main campus of the university is located in the Ferry Pass neighbourhood, 10 miles north of downtown Pensacola, on 1,600 acres of undulating hills and natural woodland along the Escambia River. Its amenities were created to reflect the natural forest and streams of the surrounding area. Among some other known attractions, the campus has an 18th-century cannon and numerous hiking and bike trails. Students can select from more than 160 groups and more than 15 athletic games, with separate ones for men and women. Residential facilities - The university offers five residence halls and two apartments, Village East and Village West. Students can choose between private and shared completely furnished deluxe accommodations with essential amenities such as internet, microwave, and so on. Every residential hall has a coin and card-operated laundry, study lounge, and kitchen.  Apartments contain 2-4 beds, a bathroom, a kitchen, and entertainment. Graduate students are permitted to live off-campus at either McVoy House or Quina Singh House in Pensacola Village. 

 

Library - John C Pace library houses almost 750,000 print volumes. It is the main library of the university and is located across Cannon Green from the University Commons. The 5th-floor Skylab has extra multimedia hardware and software, such as the Adobe Creative Suite, which can be accessed remotely, as well as 3D printers. The University Archives and West Florida History Center, situated in the basement, houses over a million unique items from the historic West Florida region. Students can also get refreshments at the Pace Library Coffee Café. Apart from this library, there are two more - The Professional Studies library at the same campus and the Emerald Coast library which is at another campus. 

 

Dining Facilities- Nautilus Market is an all-you-can-eat restaurant. Every day, students will find an abundance of fresh delicacies prepared their way. Their chefs prepare a rotating menu of delicacies such as hand-tossed pizza, sandwiches, and more, all cooked to order! Traditional home-style dinners, freshly prepared pasta and simmering sauces are daily offerings. Students can savour hot and substantial conventional and vegetarian soups, bisques and chowders, as well as an extensive salad bar.
