The campus has about 100 academic, research, and administrative buildings, as well as housing halls. The university's highly-ranked schools of medicine, education, and engineering have received national recognition. The university is also well-known for its commitment to turning green. At the Mascaro Center for Sustainable Innovation, students and staff aim to devise ecologically friendly community solutions.
