Program Overview

UConn MSE has big plans for 2023-2024. Now that we’ve moved into the brand new Institute of Materials Science, our almost 300 students, researchers, and faculty are excited to keep building on our already strong program. That includes more than $60M in active research leveraging our particular expertise in metallurgy, additive manufacturing, functional and biomedical materials, materials for energy and sustainability, and novel materials modelling, processing, and characterization.
