Program Overview

Genomic sequence acquisition and analysis promises to revolutionize many aspects of today’s society. The PSM program in Applied Genomics is designed to take advantage of this rapidly advancing area and train students for employment in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, diagnostic, government, and academic sectors. This is achieved by combining coursework with advanced laboratory training and internships. We provide students with training in advanced technologies such as next-generation sequencing, bioinformatic analysis, automated liquid handling, and cell culture techniques.
