The CU Denver master of science in computer science provides ample opportunities in state-of-the-art research and professional development in various interdisciplinary areas.​The master of science in computer science requires a minimum of 30 credit hours of graduate-level computer science courses with at least a 3.0 grade point average. Students choose one of three plans to complete their degree. Students in the Data Science in Biomedicine track will complete a minimum of 36 credit hours of graduate-level courses.

For students with applications from majors that satisfy the admissions criteria but are lacking some CS foundational courses: A specific plan of study is devised in your admission plan specifying the number of CS foundational courses to be completed during the first year of your studies with a minimum grade of B. In addition to these courses, you will need to complete a minimum of 30 credit hours to satisfy the program requirements.
