Are you interested in learning about the ways that plants improve our everyday lives? Plants play many roles in human environments, from beautifying indoor and outdoor areas to controlling erosion, reducing energy and water consumption, and revegetating and restoring destroyed landscapes. Students in the environmental horticulture and urban forestry major learn the interrelationships among complex managed landscape ecosystems, including plants, people, animals, soil, water, air and microorganisms.
