Texas Tech University is a major research university that prepares students to lead in multicultural and internationally competitive environments. Texas Tech is the sole institution in Texas where the university, law school, and medical school are all situated on the same campus. This public institution, founded in 1923, boasts cutting-edge facilities as well as treasured traditions and a strong feeling of community among its 35,859 students. Originally named Texas Technological College, the college comprised six buildings and 914 students. More than 1,300 students took part in the university's Study Abroad programme, going to different countries and receiving scholarships. Texas Tech officially became a Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) in 2019. Texas Tech University Entry Requirements

At TTU, the admission process begins for all the three-semester admissions (Fall, Spring, and Spring). International students seeking admission to undergraduate programmes must complete an online application and pay a $75 USD fee. In addition to the application cost, applicants must provide an ACT score between 24-29 and an SAT score between 1140-1310. There are a few more Texas Tech University entry requirements that candidates must consider while applying. Texas Tech admits students based on their class rank and SAT (Math and Critical Reading) or ACT scores. 

  • Students who rank in the top 10% of their class are automatically accepted.
  • Those in the top 25% with an ACT score of at least 25 or an SAT score of at least 1140 will be chosen.
  • Students in the top half of their class with an ACT of at least 28 or SAT of at least 1230 are eligible.
  • Those in the top 75% with an ACT of at least 29 or an SAT of at least 1270 are chosen.
