Stevens Institute of Technology, or simply Stevens was founded in 1870 and was one of the first colleges in the United States to offer a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Stevens, headquartered in Hoboken, New Jersey, is a private research institution. Its campus spans 55 acres of land along the Hudson River. Stevens, as a technology-centric education provider, strives to offer STEM courses and continually develops new initiatives to expose the technology to underserved groups. It is known for introducing entrepreneurial training to its first-year students and then providing them with great internships and cooperative education. Steven’s admissions procedure adheres to a regular semester-based academic calendar, with intakes taking place in the fall and spring semesters.
