It was finally converted into a four-year college in 1950 and given the name Southern State College. Southern Arkansas University was the new name given to the institution after it amalgamated with Southwest Technical University. On the northern edge of Magnolia, Arkansas is this university’s stunning 574-hectare campus. Magnolia, a tiny, secure southern community with a population of 13,000, caters to the demands of students by providing a variety of restaurants and contemporary retail complexes, as well as friendly hospitality and Southern history.
