Sonoma State University Scholarships 2024-25

Sonoma State University offers the following scholarships for students: 

University Program Scholarships: These scholarships are based on merit and require a single application. You will need to complete an online questionnaire and write four short essays. The application period begins on November 1st for the next academic year and the deadline to submit all required documents is February 1st.

CSU Future Scholars Scholarships: These scholarships are available to first-generation college students who are in financial need. The scholarships are renewable for up to four years and applications are available in the late spring or early summer. You must have excellent academic records and submit all required documents to be considered for this scholarship.

Theatre Arts and Dance, Music Scholarships: The Theatre Arts and Dance and Music Departments offer their own scholarships. To be eligible, you must submit your academic records and other required documents. You will also need to audition for the scholarship, based on your major.

Athletic Talent Awards: Each coach is responsible for awarding scholarships to athletes on their team. To be eligible for this scholarship, you must have outstanding achievements in any sport. You should contact the coach of the sport you play to explore possible athletic talent scholarships.

Departmental Scholarships: You can also get scholarships directly through the departments you are studying in through recommendations. The faculty is responsible for granting these scholarships.
