About
A private Jesuit university called Seattle University (SU) is located in Seattle, Washington. SU is the largest independent university in the Northwestern United States, enrolling about 7,500 students in undergraduate and graduate programs across eight colleges. The university did not initially provide bachelor's or master's degrees when it was founded. It awarded the first bachelor's degree after eleven years. In the year 1898, it had the name Seattle College. Seattle University was the new name given to Seattle College in 1948. More than 60 majors are available to undergraduate students, who must spend their first two years living in residence halls.
In addition to The Albers School of Business & Economics and the School of Law, which are widely regarded in the field of legal writing, the uni offers more than 30 graduate degrees. Four chapels and a number of "sacred places," or calm spaces on campus where students can reflect, can be found at Seattle University because it is a faith-based institution. In addition, students can participate in intramural or collegiate sports or clubs. The Seattle Redhawks have more than 15 NCAA Division I teams, and they compete in different leagues. Facilities

Student services include a 64,000-square-foot, three-story Student Center at the university which was inaugurated in the 2002 fall quarter.
