About

The Ross School of Business is the business school of the University of Michigan, located in Ann Arbor, Michigan, United States. It was founded in 1924 and is one of the top business schools in the world. The idea for opening a separate business school came from the Economics department of the University of Michigan. The first course offered here was a two-year Master of Business Administration. 

 

This B-school offers undergraduate, MBA, Executive MBA, and PhD programmes in fields such as accounting, finance, marketing, strategy, and entrepreneurship. They also offer dual degrees with other colleges and schools at the university. Adding to their myriad of courses, lastly is a Distinguished Leader Certificate programme which is offered under the Executive Education programme. The school is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) and has consistently ranked among the top business schools in the United States. They also have several research centres and initiatives, including the William Davidson Institute, the Zell Lurie Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies, and the Erb Institute for Global Sustainable Enterprise.

The Ross School of Business has a beautiful and modern campus, which includes several buildings that house classrooms, study spaces, faculty offices, and administrative offices.

The main building of the Ross School of Business is the Stephen M. Ross School of Business Building, which was designed by the renowned architect Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates. 

 

  • The Davidson Winter Garden is a new main entryway which features a bright, open, and highly visible community space with an informal lounge, study rooms, and café. It also includes The Winter Garden which is surrounded by the auditorium, faculty offices, and classrooms, promoting interaction between staff and students.

 

  • The classrooms here have up to 95 seats and the most recent technology, including wireless connectivity, audiovisual presentation equipment, and video conferencing. To encourage small group talks between courses, student group study spaces with room for up to 10 students encircle the classrooms. 

 

  • This building also has a beautiful outdoor area. The colloquium is a rooftop meeting space with stunning views of the campus and space for 400 people. Events for faculty members are held on the faculty terrace which is another outdoor area at the Ross Business School's campus.

Admission

Ross School of Business Entry Requirements

 

This business school has a number of high-quality courses which students can apply from. The application process takes place entirely online on the university’s website. Once all the documents have been submitted, students need to make a mandatory application fee payment of $200 for MBA and $75 for undergraduate programmes. International students need to have a minimum score of 70% in their secondary school and bachelor's degree results.
