Welding Technology touches on every profession and industry that uses metal.This program prepares individuals to apply technical knowledge and skills for joining and cutting metallic materials. This includes instruction in SMAW, FCAW, GMAW, GTAW welding processes; oxyacetylene and plasma cutting of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Includes, welding metallurgy, structural welding safety, and applicable codes and standards. These skills prepare students for the following careers: iron worker trade, steel worker trade, construction trades, pile driver trades, and glazing trades.
