Program Overview

Queens College’s Design program combines knowledgeable faculty with industry standard software and the creativity of a studio-based learning environment.Whether you’re interested in pursuing more hand-drawn approaches that utilize traditional media, or you want to immerse yourself fully in digital media and software, our Design program has the flexibility and diversity for each student to hone their vision. Additionally, our program has a network of internships that allow students to get real-world experience as a designer while receiving college credit and building their resume.

Entry Requirement
Undergraduate admission is based on high school grades, academic program, and SAT or ACT scores. Successful candidates have at least a B+ average in a well-rounded program of study that includes academic course work in math (3 years), English (4 years), lab science (2 years), social studies (4 years), and foreign language (3 years). New York State GED recipients may apply to Queens College if they earn a score of 3500 or better on the equivalency exam and corresponding high school units. Applicants who are not native English speakers should submit their scores on the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language). English requirement: a minimum TOEFL of 500.
