About

Ohio Northern University (often known as ONU) is a private university located in Ada, Ohio. The Higher Learning Commission has granted ONU accreditation and the university was established in 1871 by Henry Solomon Lehr. The college's name was changed to Ohio Normal University and then, finally, in 1903, to its current name as the college's curriculum expanded to include pharmacy, engineering, law, and business programmes. To help with debt reduction, it merged with the United Methodist Church in 1899.

Facilities

The 324-acre campus is a part of the United Methodist Church and is situated close to Columbus, the state capital, in the little town of Ada. Ohio Northern University facilities 

include more than 200 student clubs and organisations open to all students who want to join. There are 23 sports teams there that participate in NCAA Division III. The Biggs Theatre, Stambaugh Theatre, Heterick Memorial Library, Meyer Hall of Science, Presser Hall, and numerous more cutting-edge buildings are located on the university campus. Students at the university can take part in intramural, intercollegiate, and sports clubs in a range of sports. The NCAA Division III Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) is where the ONU Polar Bears play. The Great Midwest Men's Volleyball Conference's men's volleyball team competes in the Midwest Intercollegiate Volleyball Association every year.
