Northern Arizona University (NAU) was the last public university to be founded in the Arizona Territory in 1899, 13 years before Arizona was accepted as the 48th state. It is a public research university with its headquarters in Flagstaff, Arizona. The NAU’s Flagstaff Mountain Campus is magnificently situated over 683 acres of land.
