About
NM State (NMSU) is a public research university located in Las Cruces, New Mexico. It was founded in 1888 as the Las Cruces College and became a land-grant institution in 1890. Today, NMSU is the oldest and largest public university in the state of New Mexico, serving over 14,000 students.
NMSU is organized into eight colleges, including the College of Agricultural, Consumer, and Environmental Sciences; the College of Arts and Sciences; the College of Business; the College of Education; the College of Engineering; the College of Health and Social Services; the College of Honors; and the College of Agricultural, Consumer, and Environmental Sciences.
The university offers a wide range of academic programs, including bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees in a variety of fields. The university offers around 96 undergraduate degrees, 60 graduate degrees, and 28 doctoral degrees.
NMSU has a strong commitment to research and innovation and has partnerships with several major research institutions and organizations.
