Missouri University of Science and Technology (Missouri S & T) is a public research university that was established in 1870. It is a member of the University of Missouri System. Early in its history, the School of Mines was concerned solely with mining and metallurgy. Following World War II, the campus began to expand significantly. The university has three intakes: fall, spring, and summer.
