Program Overview

The 36-credit Master of Science in Childhood Education, Grades 1-6, leads to initial/professional certification.

Candidates seeking initial certification who do not yet have appropriate experience at both the lower and upper grade levels covered by their prospective certification areas will fulfill this requirement by completing 20 days of supervised student teaching in each area of certification they are seeking. Degree candidates seeking initial certification will complete an e-portfolio project in the clinical practice course.
