Program Overview

The MCW Pharmacy School will prepare you to become the pharmacist of the future, fulfilling the increasing demand for pharmacists capable of providing a broader range of patient care services. As one of the few pharmacy schools in the country offering a three-year Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree located on an academic medical center, MCW’s Pharmacy School will provide you with the experience you need to be an innovator and an advocate for providing greater access to primary and preventative care for patients. You’ll gain early and extensive exposure to a variety of clinical settings and world-class research across a range of specialties.

Entry Requirement
Applicants who have earned an undergraduate or graduate/professional degree from a recognized school or college of pharmacy outside of the United States may obtain a license to practice pharmacy in the United States in one of the following ways:
- Achieve the Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Examination Committee (FPGEE) Certification sponsored by the U.S. National Association of Boards of Pharmacy and meet the licensing requirements of the state in which you wish to practice as a pharmacist. This includes taking the North American Pharmacist Licensure Examination (NAPLEX) and the Multistate Pharmacy Jurisprudence Examination (MPJE) and may also include post-graduate intern hours.
- Earn a Doctor of Pharmacy degree at an ACPE-accredited school or college of pharmacy and meet state requirements for licensure.
