Program Overview

This seven-year professional pathway program begins in the fall with three years of study at our Boston campus, followed by four years of study at St. George’s University (SGU) Medical School. At MCPHS, you’ll experience a challenging undergraduate curriculum that will ready you for intensive medical study at SGU. During the final years of the program, you will participate in clinical rotations at affiliated hospitals in the United States or in the United Kingdom, preparing you to embark on a career as a medical doctor.

Entry Requirement
In order to continue on to SGU, students must earn a 3.4 GPA and complete the following courses at MCPHS with no grade less than a C*:International students and U.S. citizens or permanent residents may apply for the joint program. Transfer students and current MCPHS students are also eligible to join this pathway. U.S. citizens and permanent residents will be required to obtain a competitive score on the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT within 5 points of the average MCAT score for entering students. The current average is approximately 498. Canadian and international students do not have to submit an MCAT score unless they have taken the MCAT or have a date scheduled to take the MCAT.
