Program Overview

Students successfully completing the program of study will have achieved the following learning outcomes:

Demonstrate knowledge and skills in music theory, ethnomusicology, and the history of American and Western fine arts music
Demonstrate basic proficiency in keyboard, ear training, improvisation, and use of electronic technology in music
Demonstrate high-quality performance skills in at least one area of applied music, together with a knowledge of repertory

Entry Requirement
Typically, Maryville College international students have completed the following basic coursework with good grades prior to admission to Maryville College:
- Four years of English and two years another language (including your native language)
- Three or more years of math
- Two or more years of lab science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, etc.)
- Two or more years of social science or history
