Lehigh University (LU) is a private research university situated in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania's Lehigh Valley. Businessman Asa Packer founded the university in 1865, and it was initially connected to the Episcopal Church. Since the academic year 1971-1972, undergraduate programs at LU have been coeducational.
