About
Hampton University is a private historically black university located in Hampton, Virginia. It was founded in 1868 and has a long history of educating African American students. The institution enrols 4,300 students by offering them an acceptance rate of 36%, therefore making their admission policy stringent.
After the American Civil War, it was founded by Black and White American Missionary Association officials to give freedmen access to education. The Hampton University Museum, the earliest museum in the Commonwealth of Virginia and the oldest museum dedicated to the African diaspora, is located on the campus.

Facilities

Cafeteria: Hampton University Student Dining Facility is housed on the second floor from the main facade. A central eating area with a typical servery and perimeter food kiosks are located on the main floor. A full-service market-style food court and administrative spaces are located on the second story. Additionally, the structure has outside dining places. The cafeteria is open to all students, faculty, staff, and visitors of the university. It is a good place to grab a quick meal or sit down and enjoy a meal with friends. The cafeteria's hours may vary depending on the day of the week and the academic calendar.
