About

Green River College traces its roots back to 1945 when it began as an evening education programme for adults under the Auburn school district. In 1963, it gained approval to transition into a community college, officially starting professional and technical programmes in September 1964. Initially located near the Auburn Boeing Plant, the college later moved to Lea Hill. In 2014, it changed its name to Green River College from Green River Community College.

 

The main campus of the college is situated in Auburn's Lea Hill neighbourhood, occupying 180 acres of lush forested land. Additionally, there is the Auburn Centre campus, which serves the Auburn community and surrounding areas. This campus offers a variety of credit and non-credit classes, ranging from Adult Basic Education to Aviation Technology, Continuing Education to Software Development.

 

Situated at 417 Ramsay Way, the Kent Campus serves as the third campus of Green River College. It offers a range of educational programmes including credit classes for a Bachelor of Applied Science in Marketing and Entrepreneurship, Associates Degrees, Professional Education, Pre-College and Basic Classes, Job Skills Training, no-cost Small Business Counseling, Customised Training, and Community and Continuing Education classes in Computers, Business, and Technology.

 

Located at 1414 Griffin Avenue, the Enumclaw Campus serves as the fourth campus of Green River College. The campus provides a variety of instructional programmes, such as Credit Core Classes, Community Education Classes and Personal Development, Running Start/Co-Hort Programme for High School Students, Adult Basic Education, GED, Business and Career Education, Self-Paced Lab Classes, and eLearning.
