Grand Valley State University was founded in 1960 and is a public liberal arts university with a total land area of about 1322 acres. The university is located in Allendale, Michigan. It is situated just outside Grand Rapids, Michigan's second-largest metropolitan region. Grand Valley strives to make liberal education the foundation for all of its academic programmes, despite the fact that it is one of the 100 largest universities in America in terms of enrollment. Grand Valley State University has both on-campus and off-campus housing facilities.
