About

Founded in 1942, Fairleigh Dickinson University is a private university with primary campuses in Madison, New Jersey. Apart from its two campuses in New Jersey, the university has a presence in Wroxton, Oxfordshire, United Kingdom, and operates a campus in Vancouver, British Columbia. The university also has an online platform. With over 12,000 students, it is New Jersey's most prominent private school of higher learning. 

 

In 1948, FDU was granted four-year status; later, in 1956, it received university accreditation. The institution provides a wide range of over 100 graduate and undergraduate programmes. The university also offers PhD programmes in pharmacy, school psychology, clinical psychology, and nursing practice. FDU's motto is "Fortiter et Suaviter" meaning "Strongly and Gently."
