About
DePauw University is a private liberal arts university located in Greencastle, Indiana. Founded in 1837, DePauw has a long history of offering a comprehensive liberal arts education, with a strong emphasis on undergraduate education. Francis Asbury, the first American bishop of the Methodist Episcopal Church, was the inspiration behind the naming of Indiana Asbury University, which was established here. The university participates in both the North Coast Athletic Conference and the Great Lakes Colleges Association.

This 695-acre campus is located in the storied Indiana town of Greencastle. It may be reached from Indianapolis to the west in approximately 45 minutes. The university's campus is near a 520-acre nature park. Students who prefer to live on campus have a variety of housing options, eating options, etc. at the university. For students to actively participate and enjoy their college experience through involvement in intellectual, athletic, and social activities, the university offers over 100 clubs and organisations.
Residence Facilities - Students are offered a variety of on-campus housing alternatives. For first-year students, the following on-campus residence halls are available: Resident Hall 1 is a four-story, 152-person residence hall with double rooms, a common area, a lounge, a kitchen, and study areas. Bishop Roberts Hall, a 140-person hall is for freshmen. It has double rooms, a TV lounge, a kitchen, etc. Humbert Hall which can accommodate 130 students has various lounges, a kitchen, a game area, and study rooms.
Longden Hall is a double- and triple-roomed building with 100 students.
Library - The Roy O. West Library is the main library on campus and is located in the centre of the DePauw University campus in Greencastle, Indiana. The library serves as the primary research and learning resource centre for the university community, and offers access to a wide range of print and digital resources, including books, journals, databases, and multimedia materials.
Cafeteria - DePauw University is another academic institution which has partnered ‘Bon Appetit’ in providing on-campus food services to students, staff and faculty. They include local, fresh, authentic and sustainable options in their menus. On-Campus it operates in these six places: Soulful, Char, Fire, Display, Explore, Greens, Toast, Late Night and Hoover Dining Hall. Hoover Dining Hall is the main cafeteria for the student population. It is located in the centre of the campus.
